José Luis Sanz Vela earned his BSc in Chemistry (2022) and his MSc in Molecular Chemistry and Homogeneous Catalysis (2023) from University of Zaragoza. In both degrees’ theses he developed Liquid Crystal pillar(5)arenes under the supervision of Prof. José Luis Serrano. Currently, he’s working on his PhD Thesis, supervised by Dr. Raquel Giménez. His research focuses on developing new supramolecular Liquid Crystal macrocycles via hydrogen bonding for optical applications.
