Deepak obtained his Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India and obtained his PhD from Jain (Deemed-to-be University) in 2023 under the guidance of Dr. Ahipa TN. His doctoral research focused on the synthesis of luminescent pyridine-based liquid crystals (LCs), and he collaborated with Prof. Sandeep Kumar at the Raman Research Institute to study their properties.

In 2024, Deepak accepted a postdoctoral position at Eastern New Mexico University under Prof. Yan Juchao, where he investigated carbonyl-functionalized fluorene-based molecules for organic solar cells (OSCs). He was awarded the Juan de la Cierva fellowship in 2024 and began his postdoctoral work in the CLIP group in 2025 under Dr. Raquel Gimenez. Currently, he is working on supramolecular systems for applications in perovskite solar cells.
