Alfonso Gaitán Torondel received his B. Sc. in Chemistry from University of Jaume I (Castellón, Spain) in 2022 and his M. Sc. in R&D in Biomedicine and Biotechnology from University of Valencia (Spain) in 2024. During his master’s studies, he focused on the development of RNA interference-based strategies for the eradication of viral infections in Tenebrio molitor. Currently, he is developing his PhD thesis at the CLIP Group, under the supervision of Dr. Alberto Concellón. His research focuses on the development of optical biosensors based on complex liquid crystal emulsions.
