Carlos Sánchez is Tenured Scientist at the Institute of Materials Science of Aragón. He received his Ph.D. degree (Physics, 2001) on photosensitive polymers for optical applications under the supervision of Prof. Alcalá at the University of Zaragoza (Spain). He joined the group of Prof. Kees Bastiaansen and Prof. Dick Broer at the Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands) in 2002-2004 working on light processing of photopolymers for liquid crystal display applications. He is currently involved in the development of photosensitive liquid crystals and polymers and their microstructuring for optical and biomedical applications.
